#john barrowman is having none of your misogynist bullshit

i love that barrowman’s response also distances him from the contestant
“hahahaha women do laundry right john?  you with me, john?”
“don’t lump me in with you, you fucking martian”

This is what I’m talking about when I keep saying that men have to deny the endorsement. This guy wanted Barrowman’s tacit support or agreement for his sexism, as part of bonding through humour. John went nope.

Bolding mine.

Lawsuit: Purina Beneful dog food killing pets
(x)

The brand is still on store shelves in the Tri-State area (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana) and has not been recalled.

This class action suit concerns “kibble” dry food, which includes “Purina Beneful Health Weight”; “Purina Beneful Original”; “Purina Beneful Incredibites,” and “Purina Beneful Healthy Growth for Puppies”, “Purina Beneful Healthy Smile”, “Purina Beneful Health Fiesta”, “Purina Beneful Healthy Radiance”, and “Purina Beneful Playful Life” varieties.

SHIT MY DOGS EAT THIS

purina has always been a shit brand. all their stuff is cheap and not good for your pets. spend your money on better brands like hill’s science diet, nature’s recipe, or royal canin. i’ve gotten these brands for my pets and they’re better quality (and actually safe) for your pets to eat

If a party has the majority of the seats in the House of Commons, and the Party leader, who doubles as Prime Minister, has absolute control over that Party, then the Prime Minister can do whatever the hell he or she likes within constitutional limits. Under Prime Minister Harper, this has never been more apparent. Power has never been more consistently centralized in Canadian politics.  The role of the MP today is to do what they are told. The democratic process itself is in undeniable jeopardy when MP’s are unable to hold their government to account.

And while some people may claim that how decisions get made is not as important so long as the decisions are made, I would suggest that how we make decisions has a large impact on the type of decisions we make. For example, in the past, when politics was less divisive, the government would often accept amendments to a Bill, these amendments might come from the official opposition or the Senate, and they served to make the government better. They provided a second set of eyes that could find problems the government had missed. Today this is no longer the case; the Prime Minister’s office creates laws and the Conservatives in the House and the Senate are instructed to pass them without amendment. In our new hyper-partisan political sphere, any attempt to amend a Bill is viewed as a partisan attack and is promptly attacked and dismissed.
